Newspaper Night
All these ideas stolen from someone else on the web...
Paper Snakes: Give each Brownie a sheet of newspaper and
challenge her to tear out the longest snake possible. Measure them and add up
the total length per Six.
Flapping Fish: Each Six has a folded newspaper and a flat fish cut from
newspaper. The girls take it in turns to flap the fish for 30 seconds each. See
which Six flaps it the furthest.
Muddle: Each patrol is given six mixed up newspapers and is asked to sort them
out as quickly as possible.
Human Parcel: Each Six is given some newspaper and a roll of sticky tape. They
then parcel up one of their members.
Stepping Stones: Each patrol has two pieces of newspaper more than the number in
their patrol. The Sixer lays them down and walks on them to the finish. When all
the Six are on a sheet, the girl at the back begins to pick up the end pieces
and passes them to the front to allow the Six to move forward. See how far each
patrol can get in three minutes.
Paper pile: Screw up the pages and see which Six can make the biggest pile of
newspaper. Then use them for a paper fight!
